Programs Available For Students

INTERNATIONAL CLINICAL TRAINING PROGRAM

The RAGEC International Clinical Training Program is designed for foreign medical students, postgraduate trainees, and healthcare professionals who wish to gain clinical observation and academic exposure in gynecological endoscopy within a Sri Lankan hospital environment.

PROGRAM EMPHASIS

• Exposure to minimally invasive gynecological surgery
• Enhanced understanding of clinical workflows and patient care

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

This program is open to:

• Final-year medical students
• Postgraduate medical trainees
• Junior doctors
• Qualified healthcare professionals

REQUIREMENTS

• Proof of medical or healthcare background
• Ability to communicate in English
• Valid passport and appropriate Sri Lanka visa
• Compliance with hospital and national medical regulations

TRAINING AREAS

• Gynecological laparoscopy
• Hysteroscopy
• Diagnostic endoscopy
• Operating theatre protocols
• Infection control and patient safety
• Case discussions and academic sessions

Note: All clinical activities are conducted under strict supervision and in accordance with hospital policies. Hands-on participation is subject to approval.

Duration Options:

• Short-term programs: 1–4 weeks
• Medium-term programs: 1–3 months

ASSESSMENT & CERTIFICATION

• Certificate of Participation issued by RAGEC
• Training summary document
• Recommendation letter (subject to performance)

• Guidance on accommodation and local transport

Note: Travel, accommodation, visa fees, and living expenses are the responsibility of the trainee unless otherwise stated.
