Prof. Kumara Dissanayake is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, Professor in Gynaecological Endoscopy, and Director of the Rajarata Gyn Endoscopy Center (RAGEC) in Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka. He holds MBBS, MD (Obstetrics and Gynaecology), FRCOG (UK), and FSLCOG qualifications. His specialist training includes a Fellowship in Gynaecological Endoscopy in India and a Diploma in Advanced Gynaecological Laparoscopy in Germany.

He serves as Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Faculty of Medicine and Allied Sciences, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, and as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in the Professional Unit at Teaching Hospital Anuradhapura. His work combines academic leadership with specialist clinical care and expertise in minimally invasive gynaecological surgery.
